Inspiration for The Zodiac Collection

The creative process behind the amazing art

"I have been inspired recently by the beauty and ornamentation of the Art Nouveau styles of the early 20th century. This collection honors the genius artistry of that era but with modern flourish and an uncompromisingly queer aesthetic. Signs of the zodiac allowed me to dream a variety of moments and the handsome men in them. And dance has always been central to my life as well, and this work highlights the visual poetry of movement. My hope is that, just like with reading horoscopes, you find in each vignette personal meaning and comfort, and perhaps a surprise or two."
